I currently (and usually) have a process up on IRC on a private channel. of the dozen or so habitues of this channel, I'd guess ten are sysadmins. when faced with a knotty problem, it's a good bet that one of the other channel members has solved it before. this, btw, is one of the few reasonable uses I have found for IRC. josh
