I ran into Heidi, Biff's owner, in the lunchroom and mentioned this discussion
to her.  She says that Biff's birthday was actually celebrated on May 1st, but
that wasn't really his birthday.  They didn't know his real birthday.  Biff,
sadly, is no longer with us.  To correct an earlier posting, Heidi didn't write
the biff program, but it was named after her dog.

As for the calendar, I wouldn't mind having some non-sys admin items included,
as long as they were of general interest to a techie crowd.  Birthdays of
famous film stars would be a counter example.
