i sort my incoming mail in mailbox order (unsorted) since clients can
have strange ideas of the date where they are.

the version of mutt i'm using is mis-displaying mail sent with the
date: 1 Jan 00
(from an oldish and possibly unpatched sun) as being sent "feb 07".
