US-CA-los angeles: LUG on practical Oracle usage

This thursday Feb 1st, the Los Angeles chapter of the
UNIX Users' Group of Southern California is proud to host a presentation
of a real-world example of Oracle use.

A fair amount of people may have had a basic "oracle overview" experience,
where you learn basically what a database is, the general components, and
how oracle specifically works. But getting to see it used for something
practical is usually left to DBAs-in-training.

This thursday, Sid Womac will go through the nitty-gritty of actually
setting up the "business end", so to speak, of an Oracle installation.
What happens AFTER the sysadmin says "Okay, it's all set up: go to it!"

presentation is set for 7-9pm
