T-Mobile told me they would unlock mine.  But when I called, I ended up 
talking to someone at the call centre who didn't understand me.  Since 
I didn't have a burning need, I didn't pursue.

AT&T's GSM coverage in my home neighbourhood sucks, so I switched to 
T-Mobile to get GSM.  I've been very happy with the coverage in New 
York, Cape Cod, etc. as well as in London.  Now I've got my eye on the 
Treo 600... I have the Nokia 6610 at the moment.  :-)
