The company I work for is converting from Backup Express to CommVault.There are very mixed feelings about it. Full disclosure: as a sysadmin I don't do the backup's, but am a member of the team that does,storage. There is a load of complaining about the VTL's and NDMP. Weapparently bought licenses and keep running into problems where theresponse is " Oh, you need to buy a different license for that" thenthere is a wrangle with sales about the contracts. There are alsoproblems with getting it to run with the Sun tape Library. I think thatthe Windows/Exchange stuff was fairly straight forward it is theNAS/SAN/encryption/Oracle issues that are killing us.
